What this means for you is that you can readily move across streams, and change career paths with less barriers or obstacles to deter you.
The recognition of common competencies and skill development across the community services industry means that you may receive credits towards another qualification within the Community Services Training Package should you decide on a career change.
Given the skill shortage of qualified childcare workers across much of Australia, this information may be of particular interest to people currently working in another community services industry stream who may be considering a career change.
So for instance, you may currently work with young people, in aged care, or any one of the community services streams. With recognition of prior learning and perhaps direct credits from previous training, you may find that you only need partial training to gain a qualification within the Children’s Services or Out of School Hours Care streams.
